Based at the Faculty of Public Health of the University of São Paulo, CEPEDOC Healthy Cities has been developing partnerships with different segments of the government, as also institutions and segments of society, on a national and an international scale, seeking to provide support for processes and development projects, as also for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public policies. Our activities are strongly based on the democratic principles and values which have promoted equity, participation and social inclusion, which nurture intersectoriality and local development, and also expand the occupation of public spaces and the autonomy of the subjects involved – communities, managers, researchers, leaders, professional people and the like.
